Hike the scenic Sentona Trail from Labin (LAH-bin) to Rabac (RAH-bahch) (about 1 hour through beautiful Mediterranean vegetation). Cool off with a swim at one of Rabac’s Blue Flag beaches, St. Andrea is a local favorite with stunning mountain backdrops.

Day 9: Poreč – UNESCO Treasures & Coastal Beauty

Drive to Poreč (Poh-rech), one of Istria’s most important historical destinations. Begin with the breathtaking Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring stunning 6th-century Byzantine mosaics that have remained virtually unchanged for over 1,400 years. Day 10: Buje & Umag – Wine Roads & Coastal Farewell
Morning & Day Trip
Drive to Buje (Boo-jee), nicknamed “Istrian Tuscany” for its spectacular panoramic views. Follow part of the longest wine road in Istria, stopping at family-owned vineyards for tastings of exceptional Malvasia and Teran wines. The rolling hills and endless vineyards create picture perfect moments at every turn.

Afternoon
Head to Umag and cross the charming 10th century drawbridge into the old town. Visit the 16th century Church of St. Roche with its stunning oil painted ceiling, then walk the beautiful waterfront promenade. If time permits, take a scenic drive to Savudrija lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the Adriatic and absolutely worth the detour.
Evening
